Visit A Craft Show!.......
Visiting a Craft Show is a great way of getting lots of Card Making Supplies and ideas for Handmade Cards. It is also a great day out!
Craft Shows of varying sizes are held regularly around the UK and the US, and no doubt in other countries. If you have never visited one then you should try to find out if there is going to be one near to you because they really are great value for money.
In the UK the format of most of the Card Making Craft Shows is the same - row after row of stalls selling all sorts of card making supplies. Often a stall will have a demonstrator demonstrating how to use a particular product or how to do a particular technique. Many of the exhibitors go from show to show and this works out to your advantage - if you haven't quite got enough money to buy something from one show you know you should be able to get it from the next one! Craft Shows are great places to stock up on Card Making Embellishments and other basic supplies such as double sided tape. They are also great places to source that elusive rubber stamp which you have been trying to get hold of for ages! Most of the exhibitors are quite happy for you to photograph their work but as a curtesy we would always advise you to ask for permission first. Going to a show alone can be a little daunting but do not be put off because there will always be someone willing to chat! If you do not want to go along, and cannot persuade any friends to go with you, then look out in local shops or clubs to see if they have any trips arranged. One word of warning - make sure you wear comfy shoes and take a large bag for all the goodies you are bound to buy!
