Gate Fold Cards - Making Something Simple Stylish.......To add variety to your cardmaking why not make some Gate Fold Cards? They are very simple to make:
2. From that middle point measure the halfway point to the edge of the card in each direction,and mark each of these half way points with a pencil mark. These will be the marks you use to make the folds for the front panels. 2. Score the card,as described in Single Fold Cards , at these marks. Then fold each side of the card inwards,along the score lines. 3. You will have created 2 front panels which will open outwards just like a set of gates. 4. You can then decorate these front panels and also the back panel which is revealed when the "gates" open.
IDEAS: To make a card special punch a hole in each of the front panels and tie the panels together with a pretty bow.
