Mulberry Paper is perhaps the best known handmade paper. It is made with strands of fibre in it and has a textured look and feel to it.
You can also get marbled effects, paper embellished with silky chain stitch, silky rag fibre, and papers infused with jute, tea leaves, rose petals and even marigolds to name just a few. TIP: Due to the nature of this paper it is best to use spray adhesive to stick it down - double sided tape will show through and can cause tears. TIP: Although you can cut this paper it works well if you tear the edges to give a frayed effect. To get it to tear evenly use a waterbrush to wet the paper where you want it to tear, then gently tear along the wet line, using a ruler or other straight edge for guidance.Gently feather out the torn edges.
