Christmas is Coming!....Get Making Your Handmade Christmas Cards.......We don't know what it is about them, but to us, Handmade Christmas Cards are the most special of all the cards you can make.
We know of some card makers who continue to make their Handmade Christmas Cards throughout the year so that by the time Christmas comes they have a lovely selection already prepared. Others we know say that by the time January comes they have "overdosed" on glitter and have to put everything Christmassy away until at least August! Whilst years ago all Christmas cards used to be very traditional nowadays there is a vast selection of themes and colour schemes open to you. From ultra modern right through to traditional you will find something to suit your designs. Traditional colour schemes tend to use the Complementary Colours of red and green whilst modern schemes trend towards, the Cool Colours such as blue and silver, or purple and pink.
If you are making a large amount of cards then using Christmas Toppers is a good way to quickly produce your cards but this can prove to be expensive, depending on the numbers. However this is when Rubber Stamping really comes into its own. There are some beautiful Christmas Rubber Stamps available and each year the manufacturers seem to add yet more. Investing in one or 2 quality Christmas rubber stamps will ensure you can produce your own greetings cards cost effectively. TIP: If you see a rubber stamp on offer, no matter how cheap it is don't buy it unless you really like it and feel inspired to create beautiful cards.
