Use A Nestabilities Die On Your Card Blanks......

Using a Nestabilities Die to cut a shape out of your card blanks can add interest to your card making and it will make your cards just that little bit different.

Below are examples of how this technique can be used effectively in your projects:

Handmade Card using A Nestabilities Die This card blank has used a Nestabilities Die to cut out a circle from the front of the card. Around the circle a border has been created using a scalloped edged Nestability.

Inside the cut out circle a card making embellishment acts as a floral center piece.

When the card is opened the center piece obviously remains fixed to the inside of the card.

Finishing touches are a sentiment attached to the ribbon and 2 buttons embellished with raffia.

Scalloped Nestabilities Die For this card, on the right, a Scalloped Oval "Nestie" has been used to cut the center from the front of the card.

Inside a plain oval shaped Nestability has an oval sentiment mounted onto it.

Again once the card is opened the sentiment remains fixed in place, as shown below.

Any shaped "Nestie" can be used, positioned anywhere on the card blank.

The secret to making the card look good is to make sure that which ever shape you use, you choose an appropriate shaped embellishment, or a rubber stamped sentiment, to sit inside it.

( Please note: In the photograph above editing has distorted the scallop cut out so that it looks circular.)

This Peter Rabbit embellishment sits perfectly within this plain oval cut out.

These are just a few examples of what you can do - you will probably have lots more creative ideas!

TIP: Why not use 2 different sized cut outs on the same card front and put complimentary embellishments in each one.

TIP: Don't throw away your cut out shape - it can be used on other cards. For example the oval cut out from the Peter Rabbit card, above, has been used for the inside of the scalloped edged card.
